Sample portfolios: common account mixes, with made-up figures, built by the same builder as any firm's portfolio, to one set of settings of its own: those still saving in mid-life are optimized for growth, those retired for income. Backtests, not advice.
A portfolio is optimized for income (the withdrawal it can pay) or for growth, and shows that side only. Held out: the walk-forward's mean on years the weights were not fitted to, beside equal weights on the same years: the withdrawal of an income portfolio, the CAGR of a growth one.
